PREVENTING MODERN SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING
Buhnanuh Club Policy on Preventing Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking
Buhnanuh Club works to combat modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to building the safest digital media platform in the world, and the Buhnanuh Club does not tolerate any human trafficking or exploitation on our platform, in our partnerships, or in our supply chain.
What is Modern Slavery?
Anti-Slavery International describes modern slavery as, "the severe exploitation of other people for personal or commercial gain... Modern slavery can take many forms including human trafficking, forced labour, debt bondage/bonded labour, descent-based slavery, slavery of children and forced and early marriage."
Modern slavery is not permitted, facilitated, or tolerated on the Buhnanuh Club. We have a range of tools, policies, and procedures designed to detect and prevent any attempt to use our platform for such activities.
What is Human Trafficking?
Anti-Slavery International describes human trafficking as "the use of violence, threats or coercion to transport, recruit or harbour people in order to exploit them for financial or personal gain. This can include forced prostitution, labour, criminality, marriage, or organ removal... People don’t have to be transported across borders for trafficking to take place."
Human trafficking is not permitted, facilitated, or tolerated on the Buhnanuh Club. We implement various tools, policies, and procedures designed to detect and prevent any attempts to use our platform for human trafficking.
How Does the Buhnanuh Club Identify Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking?
Modern slavery and human trafficking can be challenging to detect. To address this, we:
- Monitor Content: We closely inspect images, text, and sound files for indications of force or coercion.
- Utilize Technology: IP tracking and pattern analysis help us identify suspicious upload locations and behaviors.
- Collaborate with Experts: Our technology and trained reviewers work together to flag and report suspected cases. When warranted, we share this information with law enforcement and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to help identify and prosecute perpetrators.
We continuously assess our business environment for risks related to modern slavery and human trafficking—drawing on external reports, country-specific risk profiles, and sector standards—to ensure our controls remain effective.
How Does the Buhnanuh Club Deter Modern Slavery or Human Trafficking?
The Buhnanuh Club takes all reasonable steps to ensure that no modern slavery or human trafficking activities occur on our platform, within our business, or throughout our supply chain. Our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy clearly prohibit content that:
- Shows, includes, or refers to any individual without their written consent to use their name or image.
- Promotes, advertises, or refers to escort services, sex trafficking, or prostitution.
We hold our employees and suppliers to high standards. Any violation of these standards by an employee may result in disciplinary action, including termination, while violations by suppliers can lead to contract termination.
Additionally, creators and members on the Buhnanuh Club are not anonymous. We do not employ end-to-end encryption, meaning all activity on our platform is visible to our team of trained reviewers. There are no "hidden" posts, secret areas, or disappearing messages. This transparency enables us to detect and report any suspicious activities related to modern slavery or human trafficking.
What Happens When the Buhnanuh Club Identifies Suspected Modern Slavery or Human Trafficking?
If any user attempts to engage in modern slavery or human trafficking on our platform, we will identify the offender, report them to law enforcement and relevant NGOs, and ban them from the Buhnanuh Club.
Does the Buhnanuh Club’s Subscription Model Enable Modern Slavery or Human Trafficking?
No. Our subscription model enhances security by requiring all users to pass strict identity verification checks. Unlike many other digital media platforms, this process ensures that we know the legal identity of every user—there is no anonymous posting.
Because our users are not anonymous and we do not use end-to-end encryption, there is a reduced likelihood of modern slavery or human trafficking activities on our platform. Should any user attempt such activities, we will act promptly to identify, report, and ban them.
How Do I Report Suspected Modern Slavery or Human Trafficking?
Every post and account on the Buhnanuh Club features a report button. If you encounter any content that you suspect may involve modern slavery or human trafficking, please click the report button immediately.
How Can You Trust That the Buhnanuh Club Takes This Issue Seriously?
The Buhnanuh Club is dedicated to building the safest social media platform available. We take full responsibility for our role in combating these crimes.
What Else Do We Do to Prevent Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking?
We work in close partnership with governments, regulators, law enforcement agencies, NGOs, charities, and other industry leaders to combat modern slavery and human trafficking.
